About this website
This website is the final product in a two-year research project that I undertook as part of the Faculty of Arts disciplinary Bachelor program of the Radboud Honours Academy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hans Bak and, during my semester abroad at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016, of Professor Daniel Cobb. In this program, I had the chance to conduct my own research, in which I decided to focus on issues surrounding historiography and literature concerning the nineteen-sixties in the United States. I eventually decided to present my findings through this website so that they can serve an educational purpose for American Studies students, scholars, and anyone else who is interested in learning more about the nineteen-sixties, and perhaps getting some new insights into this fascinating period in American history.

About me
My name is Vincent Veerbeek (19) and I am currently at the end of my third year as a Bachelor student of American Studies at the Radboud University in Nijmegen (the Netherlands). For the past two years I have also been a part of the Honours program, of which this website is the end result. My interests within American Studies include history, politics, literature, and Indigenous studies, most of which I have been able to incorporate into this project as well.
